Marriott International dates from 1927 and has grown into a group of more than 9,500 hotels, 30-plus brands and over 140 countries. You will know many of the names: Marriott Hotels, Sheraton, Westin, Courtyard, JW Marriott, W Hotels, Ritz-Carlton and St. Regis.
Marriott runs two advisor programmes, and neither is something you join yourself: both are open by invitation to accredited luxury advisors, LVXVRY among them. STARS covers The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, EDITION, Bulgari, The Luxury Collection and Ritz-Carlton Reserve. Luminous covers W Hotels, JW Marriott, Westin, Autograph Collection, Le Méridien and Tribute Portfolio.
We make the booking with the hotel ourselves, add the programme benefits and your preferences to it, and stay in touch with the hotel so they are in place when you arrive.

What is fixed on arrival, and what is not
Two things are settled once the rate qualifies: breakfast for two each morning and the hotel credit. The rest — a better room, getting in early, leaving late — depends on what the hotel has free that day. We ask for all three on your behalf, but we will not promise them on this page.

The rate that qualifies
The benefits come only with certain rates Marriott loads for accredited advisors. In most cases that is the flexible public rate; now and then it is an advance-purchase version of it. Member rates, prepaid and non-refundable rates, packages, corporate or negotiated rates, promotions and points stays do not qualify.
Sometimes one of those other rates is the better deal. Before we book, we put the qualifying rate next to everything else on sale for your dates and tell you which comes out ahead, even when that means booking it some other way.
Your Bonvoy points and status
Your Marriott Bonvoy number goes on the booking before it reaches the hotel. You are recognised at check-in, and you earn on the rates that qualify. If your elite status and the programme offer the same thing, the hotel gives you the better of the two, not both.

- Do I pay extra for STARS & Luminous?
- No. You settle the bill with the hotel at the qualifying rate, and the benefits come with that booking.
- Which rates give me the benefits?
- The rates Marriott makes available to accredited advisors: usually the flexible public rate, occasionally an advance-purchase version. Member, prepaid, non-refundable, package, corporate, negotiated and promotional rates do not, and neither do stays paid with points.
- Can you guarantee the upgrade?
- No. Breakfast and the hotel credit are part of the agreement on a qualifying rate. An upgrade, early check-in and late check-out depend on what is free on the day, so the hotel confirms them when you arrive, not when we book.
- Will I still earn Bonvoy points and nights?
- Yes, on qualifying rates. We add your Marriott Bonvoy number before the booking goes to the hotel.
