Private Estates

Private Estates is a collection of complete private properties taken in their entirety — a house and the land, the staff and the silence around it. Nothing is shared, and nothing is scheduled by anyone else.

An estate is not a larger villa. It is a self-contained world: gardens and vineyards, stables and boathouses, guest cottages, a private chef, a chapel, a lake, a stretch of coast. The property is taken on exclusive use, which means the gates close behind one party and open again only for them.

From Tuscan wine estates and Scottish sporting lodges to Caribbean headlands, Provençal domaines and island compounds in the Indian Ocean, every estate is chosen for what it makes possible: a wedding, a reunion, a season of work, a birthday that lasts a week, or simply a family that wants a country of its own for ten days.

Service is arranged rather than encountered. An estate manager, a household team and a chef work to the rhythm of the party rather than to a hotel timetable — breakfast at eleven, dinner for twenty, the house silent by ten if that is what the week requires.

Private Estates is for families, friends and companies who want an entire property, not a part of one — and the freedom to write its rules for the length of their stay.
